Daniel Polk is the founding Director of Global Citizenship at the Hamlin School in San Francisco. He has presented on public relations and global citizenship at the California Association of Independent Schools conference, in Miami at the annual gathering of the Global Education Benchmark Group and most recently he led a session entitled, “Leveraging Social Media for Global Citizenship” at the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools Global Forum in NYC. Daniel writes a global citizenship blog and has interviewed ABC News Anchor and Author, Dan Harris (among others). Through his work with social media, Daniel has connected Hamlin to various outlets including newspapers, television, radio, and international consulates. Daniel was a founding board member of the Daraja Academy, the first free High School for girls in Kenya. In 1998, he initiated the first plastic recycling program in the country of Paraguay.
